Live Fast Live Young: Why I’m Knocking Out My Bucket List Early

Live Fast Live Young: Why I'm Knocking Out My Bucket List Early

I travel a lot. I quit my job if I’m unhappy. I make snap decisions because I don’t like to waste my time.

I’m realizing as I get older just how much energy I’m losing every year. I know that once I start building a family, I’m not going to have the ability (or the vitality) to road trip through New Zealand or blow off work for The Ellen Show. That’s why I’m tackling my bucket list in my twenties.

I understand that I’m approaching life in a somewhat irresponsible way. Trust me, my thoughts are constantly battling questions like “Should I be saving for retirement?” or “What if I miss out on a huge career opportunity because I decided to take on a Scandinavian winter?”

My Experience As An Audience Member On The Ellen Show

My Experience As An Audience Member On The Ellen Show

When my friend Sam texted me asking if I would like to attend The Ellen Show, I almost peed my pants. I had grown up watching Ellen Degeneres and it had been my dream to see a live taping. My Au Pair Disaster in Madrid

My Au Pair Disaster in Madrid

Depending on how well you know me, you may have heard about my au pair disaster story. Basically, I moved to Madrid in hopes of learning Spanish through au pairing and it turned out to be a miserable experience. Lesson learned!!

Why You Should Find A Mentor In Your Twenties

Two years ago, I was a totally different person. I had just graduated college, I was waiting tables, I lived with my grandparents, I was in a crappy relationship, and I had no self-confidence. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and I felt completely lost. I let my inner mean girl rule my life which held me back from pursuing any sort of progress.

So, what changed? Simple, I asked for HELP.

Life is tough. But the best part about life is you don’t have to live it alone. Whatever you’ve been through and whatever you’re struggling with, chances are there is someone who has gone through the same thing. And they survived.

Alignment: How to Get S*%# Done and Feel Good About It

How to get things done and feel good about your work.

Lately, the word “alignment” has been popping up over and over again in the self-help and wellness industry. (Just listen to Jess Lively’s podcast, The Lively Show, and see for yourself). When I first heard the term, I thought it was some weird, woo woo practice like tarot card reading or fortune telling. But the more I learn about alignment, the more I realize how legitimate this concept is.

Getting into alignment simply means setting yourself up for success. Whether you’re about to write a blog post or deliver a speech to thousands of people, alignment will encourage peak performance.

Have you ever worked SO hard on something, but nothing you do seems to be productive or satisfying? This could be due to misalignment.
